I spotted this ladybird sunbathing in the winter sun whilst I was out in the garden taking pictures of the snowdrops that had bloomed. I didn’t spot this critter to begin with but glad I did as I had been wanting to take some macro shots of insects. This was taken at full 1:1 mode with a 50mm lens and these are one of the few insects I would happily get up close to to take a shot.
