It’s not very often that you have the opportunity to visit a lavender farm when there is very few people about. Usually when these types of farms open, they are for open days and there’s generally quite a few people about to get in the way of shots or just suddenly appear in the background and ruin a good photo. This was taken on one of the few days when a group of photographers booked the farm for a whole day to do portrait shots and as part of that day there was an experience day which made use of having virtually the whole field without hordes of people around. It was a good day. The sun was shinning brightly, the lavender was buzzing with lots of bees going about their business and the smell from the flowers was lovely. Not a bad day over all.
