Often brought out at shows in a box covered in barbed wire, this little bird goes by the name of Bone Crusher. It’s such a formidable name for such a cute little thing. I’m not sure what type of owl this is but it’s not very big and wins the heart of most people that see him, especially with such a fierce name.
I took this photo on a recent photo day where I spent the day at Fallowfields Falconry trying to capture birds in flight. Sadly I didn’t manage to get very many good photos whilst they were flying, but did get loads whilst they were in their cages. I think I need a better lens before I attempt another day with birds of prey, but it was certainly a good experience.
